SLCD HTC Incredibles at Best Buy

Here's my 2 cents on why I want to keep my amoled, for instance I love watching movies and the colors pop. Point 2 if slcd is so comparible, why would htc only use it because of amoled shortages. MEANING all incredibles where suppose to have the superior amoled screen. THIS is because samsung can't keep up with demand till next year when the new factories are built.

Amoled is great, colors and vibrance on the screen is second to none. I wouldn't trade it for SLCD, unless you ask me under direct sunlight.

this makes no sense. yes they were supposed to have the amoled screen obviously. not sure by your logic how that makes it superior. htc has a deal with samsung to use their screens. at the time amoled was the best screen available from samsung. since supply was short they had to pick a comparable alternative and thats what they did. after this screw up by samsung i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't start using more sony parts but that doesn't make sony any better or worse by default.

Ahh I really don't want a purple screen when it supposed to be black :p And as for clarity....yeah we all use a microscope or a macro lens to view our screens....c'mon!

What about the Incredibles from Verizon? Are they still AMOLED or SLCD? I ordered mine and it will be here Wednesday. I wonder which one I will get.

Main issue is battery. Tests conclude the SLCD drains more battery, unless you view white screened content for almost all the times the display is on (amoled consumes a little more power than lcd with whites).

Since most of the time whites are not the main viewing content, folks will notice 20% to 30% quicker battery drain. I expect the SLCD battery issue to be the next "great" thread :) Need popcorn.

Great. Another battery draining issue for an already battery poor device.
