this could be a fake, but here's a call made to HTC customer service, and them "confirming" it's s-lcd.

Not too happy about the screen having moved from Desire to DHD. Really seems washed out compared to the Desire. Not sure if this is the SLCD or the less pixels per inch, or a combination of both. Nobody else been disappointed with the screen colours?

the screen's colours are far more natural. You got used to over saturation.
