Help Slight issue with application

Qfish25

Lurker
So yesterday I rooted my phone using kingo root and flashed xperion rom onto it everything works fin So I wanna add custom ringtones and notifications through the settings however when I try to add them it says "No application can perforce this action. Enable disabled built-in application?" I'm assuming this means the default music player (an app with a purple icon in lg phones) has been disabled. when I try to enable it it does nothing, which means I believe that the default application is missing from the wipe and flash. No biggie I could use Apollo or any other music app to perform this in it's place with the proper permissions (right?) ....only thing is I don't quite know how to do it. I've looked around and have heard things lie opening up application manager but I can't seem to find it or even remember if I ever did open it up on this phone. Beyond that everything works fine as far as the phone is concerned.
Hopefully it's just something I'm overlooking. Thanks.

You can add ringtones and notifications with your file explorer on any of the roms by going to "/system/media/audio" where you'll see the folders to add the files.

Make sure your ringtones and notifications are in ".ogg" format and set the permissions the same as any of the other files in those folders. After adding your files and setting the permissions, reboot your phone and your new ringtones will be ready for use.

  1. Thanks for the quick response. Mot to sound too demanding but is there any way to have another app stand in for the original lg music app in the sense?
