Help Slightly different VVM trouble

So I've developed a problem with my VVM that doesn't seem to have been covered in earlier threads (if it has, I apologize, my googlefu has not been strong lately:rolleyes:)
I get NO notification of voicemails, no beep, no vibrate, no icon, no nothin'. When I open the Voicemail app all I have is a black screen that says "You have no voicemail messages." If I dial in (Dialer--> press and hold 1) I can still retrieve them but what a hassle to have to call in for every missed call... I tried sending myself a voice message (Voicemail-->Menu-->Compose) and that shows up right away full notifications and appears in the list of VM in the app. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!
I'm really trying to avoid a full reset as I JUST got everything the way I like it, but if that's all that'll help I'll give it a shot.
PS- this issue has only existed since the mandatory VVM update
Thanks in advance guys and gals

Next thing to try is to uninstall the update. menu/settings/applications/manage applications. let it load, might take a minute or two... then scroll to voicemail. You should have a button that says uninstall updates. Use that. Then reboot the phone. I'm guessing you will get a notification to update it again at some point, but lets see if this helps.

I had seen that, but was hesitant to go around messing with MANDATORY:rolleyes: updates... I checked the other 2 items you mentioned... both are just as they should be

Now THAT is funny! :D

.
Don't know that I can do the whole alphabet that way, but with those 3 important letters what more do you need?

Uninstalled the upgrade, instantly started getting all my notifications from the day. Yay! Oh wait no... the 'check for upgrade' box just popped up and the only thing I can do is click the upgrade button :banghead:
I guess I'll try the upgrade again and see where I wind up.... sigh

Probably was just a bad download. Try to do the update again.

Alright, everything seems to be working as it should... The next question is how do I get that stupid "Try Voicemail-to-Text FREE" banner to disappear from every VM I listen to? I'm worried about accidentally hitting that with my cheek if I shoulder the phone

Glad to hear its working right now! I think that the banner goes away after awhile, my wife's Hero doesn't get it anymore, anyway.

Edit, I was wrong, sorry, her's still has that banner/button there. :(

You could always use the speaker phone to listen to voice-mails....
