Root slim batteries

I brought this one from amazon. Amazon.com: OEM New LG Lucid VS840 Standerd Battery BL-44JS 1650MAH Verizon: Cell Phones & Accessories
It fits but I was experiencing overheating and by 12 noon it would be down to 30 %. I let it die when I first got it and then charge it up to 100%. The overheating started the next day.

This is the battery I got, I am not experiencing any of this though...

What Rom are you using, are you overclocking your phone? What apps are running in the back ground?

I know BOC has, and Black Plague had (not sure if still has) a broken overclock, which is stuck at 1.5ghz if you do not either edit the file to fix it or delete the file altogether. When I was using those roms, I had horrendous battery life till I edited the file, oh and overheats.

Stock according to SetCPU is 1188MHz, when I fixed the file I "gently" overclocked it to 1280ish MHz. Currently I am using Number Two, and get great battery life. Since I use that rom now, I no longer overclock (nor do I have the urge to overclock).

Did any one find a slim battery that's not to much $ and that last all day basically 2000 man or bigger or if its even thick don't care as long as it lasts all day and not to much $

its been stated before but anything but oem batteries are less than stated capacity. I've been waiting a while for something a bit better but I finally decided to get the 1650 mAh battery from the lucid.

So is it worth getting the 1800 mAh battery for the motion to use it on my connect (the brand)

No that is not a OEM battery. OEM mean Original Equipment Manufacturer. The OEM is LG themselves... "Onite" does not make batteries for LG. An OEM battery for LG Lucid or LG Motion is going to be 1650~1700mah...

If you see a seller trying to push a "OEM" that is higher then that, it is probably going to be a fake. And is most likely going to be a Chinese replacement battery. As I stated before, those are crap. You would be better off with your stock battery.

I picked up one of the Gold batteries off ebay, comes from UK I believe. 2650amh. I noticed a huge increase. I stream tunein radio thru a bluetooth and couldn't make it even 3hours. Now I can make it 4 hours easy. Not alot, but at least I have some juice left when my radio program is over.

id like to know the same, as i bought a LG Optimus battery.. followed the steps to let wipe batt stats, drain till dead.. recharge but still shows 1500 mah...

the form factor fits / same voltage and if you flush the stats why does it not work right?

I'm thinking that its not working right because it may not b compatible with the connect as I believe that the only battery's that work in the connect r the viper, lucid, and the motion, from what I've read on this forum not just this thread. I've never heard of an optmius batt. working in our phones. I know for a fact that the motion works perfectly, as I had to barrow my kids batt. out of her lg motion (that Santa got her and didn't get me my sgs3 that I put on my santas list LOLOL, but she is a kid and I'm an adult so I guess I should act like 1 LOL :-). but I digress) to make sure that it was my stock batt. in my connect was bad and not my phone that didn't agree with my rom choice. Which is #2 v1.6 by the way, by the awesome "LDrifta" (been rockin it for about a week now and have noticed a bit better batt. life, and it is still as fast as it was when I installed it :-) great job on that L by the way, if u read this bro) but yea check out the post by "SegaManXzero" on which batterys work & which ones don't & witch ones not to get. I believe he posted links in his op either in this thread or another one I'll have to look it up real quick Brb.

The optimus battery DOES work with our connects the reason you have never heard of anyone talking about it is because there is no point in talking about it. They both have the same exact battery, im not just talking mAh but the same exact model. So there is no point in getting an optimus battery because its the same as stock battery.

Right on, thank u for the enlightenment on that :-) the ones they had at my local metro store wouldn't fit in my phone, they were to long and no where near wide enough but those must have been for their v. of the optimus cause when I went in there to look for the phone for my kid they had a bunch of battery's for sale for like $5 and a lot of them were for their optimus, but I wasn't in there for an optimus so I didn't\don't know if they have more than 1 version of the optimus. I am sorry for the misinformation, Just chalk it up to ignorance on my part.:-) but thanks again for letting me know about that, I appreciate the knowledge on anything I may b wrong about.

Edit: It is in post #6, the links for the battery's @DirtAddsHP

Well I've never seen someone so modest. lol don't even worry about it. And yes there are different optimus's. I believe the one that has the same battery is the Optimus Black (p970). Both have a BL-44JN

Right on, I gotcha, I know there r a variety of optimus's LOL. I just didn't know metro had more than one kind of them. The optimus that I want is the new quad core one, I think its the optimus G. That thing looks bad a$$
