Root *SLOVED* HELP wifi says "error"

so i have a rooted samsung admire (someone bricked it and bought a new phone so i kept the old one) that was soft bricked and now i have done the odin return to stock and now my wifi says "error" and i cant connect to wifi. anyone know of a solution? im not a dumbass but still a newb. thanks in advance
 
i've had that happen when flashing from odin before. It was a long time ago, but I think it was when i flashed the 2.3.6 or from the 2.3.6. Anyway, try to install another custom ROM. That usually resolves these issues. Good luck
 
Try restoring a backup. I gained that error after trying the return to stock, however I was able to restore with a nandroid backup I've made prior. The error was gone after restoring.
