Help Slow accelerometer?

My screen seems fairly slow when going from portait to landscape view and vice-versa. Could there be a problem with the accelerometer, or is there a way to speed it up?

It should be fixed when android version 4.0.4 is officially released, at least it was on the CDMA/LTE (Verizon) model.

It's made that way to prevent your phone from flipping orientation with every accidental motion. I quite like the speed but some people have been complaining.

it is noticeably quicker on 4.0.4 but not so quick as to where it changes orientation when you don't want it to.

Thanks for the replies. Its a shame there isn't a custom setting so you could adjust to your own preference.
Also, I couldn't find the calibration tool like there was on my old HTC Desire.
