Root Slow bootup - busybox?

Okay, so currently I'm running a custom rom and my phone is rooted with busybox installed, BUT ever since I was running on the stock rom I tried to install busybox with the BusyBox tool from Stephen(Stericson) on the marketplace (which did not work) but ever since than my boot time has been very slow between the virgin mobile splash screen to the android splash screen resulting in a blank screen, sometimes only for seconds but every once in a while it will take around four minutes to get past. Is there anyway of reversing that tool that seems to have messed with my bootup?

I do now have busybox installed from my custom rom but again keep in mind I've been having this problem since before I installed this rom and was using the stock Virgin Mobile rom.

Hm... Well what worries me is that I reinstalled this rom a few times, however I guess I didn't do a factory data reset. Thanks for the help :) I forgot I had that option lol

Well, I had wiped the caches, I just hadn't done an actual factory reset. I just got home from work but it seems my phone may need to have a reset. Thanks again :) The guides I followed never said to do a factory data reset, but that does sound like a pretty good idea.

Plus one thing as well, I do doubt that not doing the reset when installing the rom CAUSED the problem, it may fix it though because of the problem is that app. Like I said earlier, even before I installed my ROM I had the same *exact* problem but if a factory data reset will take out the changes that app made it will help.

Yeah I don't know why the flashing instructions I began seeing when I first switched to this device never advise the user to wipe/flash/rewipe. Thank goodness I didn't start out my Android experience with this device because the tutorials I've read that are O-V-specific are definitely lacking in the type of detail people really need to understand the processes in full and most won't google search and read anything outside their narrow view.
It's always a good practice and should be done anytime you flash a zip to your phone, regardless of what it is.
I know it's a pain in the rear to re-set up everything all the time when one decides to go a little flash-crazy but in the end it's just "good hygiene"

Yeah I could definitely agree, this isn't my first android device but with my last phone I never really bothered installing a new rom because I was able to get all I wanted out of the stock rom, did a few hacks at least so this phone is my first experience with roms lol
