Help slow, buggy Gx4 start

I have a Galaxy 4, and for the past week or two the restart has been buggy. The phone has taken a long time to restart, seemingly restarted with apps visible, but then swapped back to the SAMSUNG startup screen, and sometimes just keep the SAMSUNG startup visible until I press the big button.

This seems to me to be some type of corruption with android? If so, is there a way to resintall, or is some other course of action warranted?

1. for how many times did it happen?
2. what are the apps installed?
3. have you tried loading this in safe mode?
4. no issues in battery? how about the performance once the phone is booted already?

Could be one of the current 3rd party apps you have installed. It may be getting stuck trying to auto start that app when you restart the phone.
