Help slow download, but fast upload

Is this a sprint issue? Just started yesterday.
I think it's so slow that it's causing my phone to lock up randomly. I tried wiping the data. Didn't help...

Lately i have been getting the same problem... am getting 23-28kbps download and 800-900 kbps upload.... no idea why... i have a rooted phone and tried few roms all day but no change... i also tried to change bandwidth to the old one but still no help

Please advise.....
 
I've seen it with both Sprint and VM intermittently at times...with no apparent pattern.
 
I attribute it to load, most people download far more than upload. Lots of people downloading=slow download.
 
Starting day #3 with no data download. :( This sucks, it worked perfectly, about 300-500K downloads until Monday. Now it's between 5K-20K. Phone is useless.

See what the phone does in a different location with plenty of bars. If it's still poor, call VM and ask them to do a trouble ticket on it. Use the SpeedTest app to see what it's reporting.
 
Probably a ton of people buying inexpensive androids (me) putting a strain on the system they may have to play catch up for a while.
 
I have ran this test on wifi and my line at home is 25mg/1mg meaning 25mg download and 1 mg upload when i run the test on my phone the max download i can get is 2mg download but upload is 1mg upload .My question is are cell phone locker up to 3mg ? you would think i would get faster then 2 mg downloads
 
My data is back!!!!!! 700k down in my house. There was a 4 day outage in my area while towers were being upgraded.

edit: just got 1.2M down. :)
