I've been having this issue, I'm not sure all the places it happens, not on texts but for sure on the browser, lets say I touch the browser URL bar to input a new url, the onscreen keyboard has a significant delay in poping up. It's not unlivable but really pretty bad and not smooth at all. This has been going on for a while, I'm not sure but probably at least since the Froyo update.
Wish I could take a vid to show this but my Captivate is actually pretty much my only video recorder, heh.
Anybody else have this problem or know a possible fix? I hope this isn't normal.
Really by far the best way to show this would be a vid, I do have an ancient digicam maybe I'll try to make one later.
