Slow phone - large Log folder the culprit?

Hi all,

I'm not the best with all things IT, so I hope someone can help. me.

I have a S2 that has gradually been slowing down lately when using applications and in general operation.

When looking for a reason I discovered that I am running thin on remaining storage, and there is a about 1.02Gb sitting in a folder called log. See attachment.

Anyone know what this folder does, what's in it, can it be emptied? Any help at all I would be most grateful.

Also, any tips on speeding up a slow phone would be much appreciated.

Thanks heaps.

BN

Log files that are unusually large in size can be safely deleted. To speed up your device, you can also try clearing large app caches, un installing unused apps, moving large apps to SD, clearing large thumbnail caches, or even doing a factory reset.
