Slow picture save

My DC has a 32GB class 2 sd. When I take a picture it takes a really long time to save. Will going to a class 4 or class 6 make a difference or is it the nature of the OS?

I have a 16GB, Class 2 card and saving a picture is almost instant. It is possible you got a bad card, or maybe just need to re-format it.

Another stupid thing to check is your review time. Open the camera and go to settings and turn off review, or change the review time. I turned mine off.

If a re-format doesn't fix it, I would look into drive performance applications to test the read/write speed of the card and compare it to others.

As far as buying a new card, I wouldn't bother buying anything over class 4, most phones just can't read/write at those speeds anyway, those are really for DSLR cameras.

I turned off review and it did make a difference. It takes about 2 seconds for the picture to save. I am using the stock camera. Does that seemlike what you;re getting? Are you using a class 4 sd card?

OK.Thanks for that unofficial benchmark. I think I'll try a class 4 and see if it makes a difference and report back to the forum.It may just be the focus time default by the hardware. I did like the review because it gives you a chance to delete right away. Haven't found a camera I like that will do that.
