Help Slow SMS app?

I'm loving my thunderbolt and i am thoroughly impressed with it so far. However when it comes to text messaging something doesn't seem right.

When I access the messaging feature from my Sense homepage it takes up to 20 seconds to load. I battle similar lag during every step of the messaging process.

I'm sure this isn't the phone, I am much more inclined to assume I have changed a setting or something of that sort to cause the issue because I never had the problem at first.

Any thoughts?

Is your phone warm or hot when its doing this? I know that my phone lags a little when its warm rather than cooler. Usually I get a little lag when its over 100 degrees. Anything under that Im fine though. Try rebooting your phone and pull your battery for a minute, see if that clears things up a little.

No its never warm but thanks for the suggestion. I have rebooted it, that solves the problem perfectly for about 5 minutes and then i am right back where i started.

I would advise not using the stock msging app. I use handcent its free and it works perfectly on the tbolt

Haha. I was tempted to recommend the same, but I already had in another thread and was told "It wont fix the problem". Figured Id let someone else do it this time...haha.

Love Handcent so far. No lag.

I have a little lag with Handcent on my TB. My DINC is more responsive with no lag when using Handcent. It's a mystery to me????
