Help slow texting

anyone else's phone recently get ridiculously slow while texting?
it seems my phone's perfomance has gone to crap.

my orientation from horizontal to vertical pauses, and I can't send text after text. it seems like my phone has to stop and think. it used to be really fast, but recently has gotten really bad.

I only have quick settings and ATK for apps, so I don't think it's an app causing problems. could it be the whole data exhange drops? Changing from 1X to EVDO and back and forth?

Thoughts?

I noticed the same thing today. Thought it was because I downloaded that swype application.

Naw, Swype is just a keyboard. Won't affect anything except for text input.
