Help Slow WiFi?

Hello friends, I recently got the Kyocera Rise and I have noticed that the WiFi is slow in my phone, the downloads from the market are about 200-400 KB/s, I got U-verse internet, my old phone (samsung admire) and laptop downloads at the speeds of 1-2 mb/s. I was wondering if anyone has this same problem? Or is it a factory problem and I should return the phone and get a new one?
 
I do not have this issue. My Cable wifi speeds are the same as I get on my other Wireless clients which is about 3G I get on average 1.05 Mbps down.

Speed test application from the market or just download a high MB file and do the math yourself.

I have noticed the WiFi isn't so hot on this phone. I tend to get better speeds using 3G... Which is sad.
