Slowness

For those that don't know, Rob has a nine month old baby that has had some health issues, so I'm not disregarding that. But ever since he's owned this site he's never been a huge presence, which I will never understand. I couldn't imagine starting a "business" and leave it the way it's been run or not run in this case. If it wasn't for all the free labor over the years this place would have never been what it once was. Sadly those days are long gone and will never return, no matter the name change. If management doesn't care why should anyone else.

i can never know if you are joking or serious......LOL

Still Kaputnik for me in Royal land after 3 new olbriars failed, only for new ones (funny pics) to show for a few day's, now no olbriars for a week. (technical term, look it up!)
Also stalling with the purple line of death. Possibly something my end, but all previous olbriars suddenly appeared rendered after more than a year, now new ones failing again. I think It is the poorly fed hamster.

I think the failing of my memes to render have a couple of variables that are beyond AF. I'm providing a link to another site that is hosting the pics from who knows where. Anywhere along that chain can develop a problem as well as the slowness from AF to your ultimate means of viewing. If I'd take the time to capture the memes and save them and then post them it would eliminate some of the possible culprits. TEST: can you view this?

I checked in on the hamster just now and let's just say I got more than I bargained for...:mustachedroid:

Don't do anything differently. It's just a curiosity, but yeh I think it's that first second on my phone when they either load or give up straight away. I did try DuckDickDock and Edge but didn't load either when they were failing again on Chrome. I just had a thought to try later on my old Moto E6, and Windows 10 (I was always tired and lazy to try my pc) .

Yes, that photo rendered in your post.

Your photos not rendering just seemed to coincide with a slow loading bar on top, although I could be wrong. Weird that ALL previous / historic memes and photos of yours appeared suddenly when it seemed to be fixed.

Don't do anything extra, but thanks for the help. Probably nothing to do with the server or hamster. I went through my UI and Chrome previously, again more out of curiosity than any frustration.

Have you ever considered you and your tech may have been interfered with by Aliens? That could be another reason why it's only affecting your posts :)

If my meme links are being filtered by aliens or gremlins, they know what they are doing. You aren't missing anything.. they are just average memes at best.
It is encouraging to know that you can see the above meme. I posted a link to it in the meme thread that you can't see. That says something.

It seems like "olbriars" is referenced in a forum thread discussing technical issues, humorously described as "olbriars failing" when images or memes aren't rendering properly. It could be a quirky term specific to that community or perhaps an inside joke! Are you exploring this as part of that discussion, or does "olbriars" hold a different context for you? From my copilot.

Wow! I've made the Internet with that post. When does the money roll in? Olbriar can sue me for a share. :)
