Ok since I received alot of feedback on this "project" and it was a success but really is a fail, I will go more indepth. Never expected the amount of feedback I received. It was all good feedback and suggestions. Thank you all for the support.
The project I was trying to do, is one that many people have tried and failed. And now they can add me to that list.
I was trying to obtain root and cwm through stock recovery instead of having to use odin. This would mean anyone would be able to do this without the use of a computer. Cool, huh?
Now on to why it was a success but a failure.
I was able to include the cwm recovery and root access into a stock rom. The flashable zip I asked for was for just that. I have tryed just about everything so this was my last option.
As soon as the flash was done the phone took about 2 seconds and automatically seen there was an update. Yes, the phone saw the update I made as been a real stock update. (
that was very cool. at least to me)
The problem is, in order for the update to happen and in order for the phone to regonize it as a stock update, the update.zip had to be two locations. One was root of sdcard. Not a problem as that is done everyday.
The second location is the issue. It has to be in /system/cache. This is nearly impossible without root and actually would defeat the propose. If you were able to get to the root files then you have already obtained root.
Hopefully, that explains everything.
Again, thank you for all the feedback and suggestions. Even though this is a bust, I will continue to try.
