Small scratch on screen.. already!?

I can't freaken believe this. I hear that this glass was supposed to be scratch proof, but I find out today that there is a tiny scratch in the center of my screen.. I only leave my phone in my pocket by itself, no keys or anything else with it, and no, there isn't and sand in my pocket either.

I'm going to verizon tomorrow and see what they say.. hopefully I can get the phone replaced, because it also has the call echo problem as well.

I feel you man. I got a small, thin one, too. No idea how it happened. Makes me sad though.

I have zero scratches on my EVO or my Fascinate, and I don't use a screen protector on any of my phones, blackberry either. I usually just throw a rubber or silicone skin on and throw it in my pocket. Vzw will not replace the phone for that....its not as if they have a commercial saying its scratch proof! If Your under 30 days pack it up and bring it back, and use the call echo problem you speak about for a exchange. But a scratch will not warrent a return.

Ghost-armor.com the best screen protector I have found. I keep my phone in the same pocket as me keys, pen, knife, and even a gun sometimes (I'm a cop), never had a problem on this or my BB Tour.

I will wait for the SGC Steinhill protector for the screen. (the ultra crystal feels just like the glass!). I'd throw an invisible shield, or anything to protect the back though. In fact, I'd prefer a cheaper, more rubbery feeling skin for the back, just to add grip. But I don't want a thick case that makes the phone thicker, and every case I've tried does just that. This phone is so dead sexy thin. I hate to add more bulk to it. Call me vain. :D

You tried the Verizon case with the kickstand? It's awesome and doesn't add hardly any bulk to the phone at all.

Well, I looked at it. Our definition of "hardly any bulk" is probably just different. I thought it was still too much for my tastes. I mean, how can a kickstand not add at least a little, anyways?? I'll look a little closer next time I'm in.

I'm not keen on spending $20 on any kind of case or screen protector. From SGC Steinhil you get amazing quality, and you get two for $14, plus lifetime warranty. And it keeps feeling just like the screen.

I'd like an even cheaper solution for the backside. Might get one of those crappy Stealth Guards if that sale is still going ... like $2.75 shipped, I think. Won't put it on the screen, but definitely on the back. Like I said, a little more traction on the backside wouldn't hurt, either.
