Small tablet touchscreen issues

So, I got this 7" tablet very cheap on ebay. The guy said it just kept turning off. I figured I could fix it. Sure enough, it just needed to be charged, and it stays on and boots up all the way.

However, the touch screen seems funny.

I can touch the screen and wake it up if it is going to sleep, but other than that, I can't actually click on anything.

To make matters worse, there is no real way of knowing which tablet this actually is. It looks like a 7inch ipad. It has MIA or MID on the back, can't tell the last letter is some type of symbol. At the bottom it says VIA ARM928 so I know that. This tablet has a front facing camera, micro USB slot, power, headphone slot and SD card slot at the bottom, and a power and volume buttons on the side. The screen is a big sticker that can be removed (like that is actually the screen, looked under no glass). I hit the reset button already many times. No SD card in it, but I tried putting my card from my EVO to see if it would then work, it did not. Actually then it said blank SD card even though the 16GB card is not blank.

Any ideas on what to do? I would like to get it working. If I do. it is a pretty good find, even for a cruddy little tablet like this one. Any help would be great.

It sounds like the same one I have. I traced it down to a Wonderpad or something like that.
I upgraded mine with a flash found on here . It is an uberoid upgrade.
You should be able to upgrade yours as all i had to do was put the files on the sd card (do all that on your pc) and start up the machine and it went from there. That should cure your problems

Am I the only one here who thinks WonderPad sounds suspiciously like a feminine hygiene product?
