Help Smaller fonts after 2.3.5 update of unbranded DHD?

Good morning everyone,
Is it my imagination or are the fonts on the start-up screen & widgets smaller than before? If they are, how can I (we?) increase the size - WITHOUT rooting the O.S.?

Funny you should say that as some things like the mail app seem bigger to me

I've noticed the font size too... widgets are smaller, alternative words in sms get smaller the more letters you input but bizarrely the alarm numbers have gone huge!
