Root smaller screen icons?

[bigbear6708]

anyone know if there is a ROM out there..or a mod/tweak for mikg3.1 that makes the homescreen icons smaller..just seems like a lot of wasted space w/ the titles removed..i know go launcher pro? offers that..anything the devs cooked up tho?

I'd like to have smaller icons too and a 5 x 5 grid. We do have that with go-launcher.

That's an app out there that allows you to adjust your pixel density and I can't for the life of me think of the name

just found an answer from google over at androidcentral I will link to it, so no one thinks this is my doing!

[MOD] [ROOT] How to change system lcd density. - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

basically tweak the build.prop file to change lcd setting.

i guess what i was looking for is not smaller icons..but a 4x5 workspace.

ROM toolbox is what I've used in the past. Set it to 200. The only downside is you will need to set it back to 240 in order to allow some of your apps to be updated on the market.

I'm not being a smartass, but why in the world would pixel size have anything to do with market updates?

I am going to keep using go-launcher, easy to use, easy to switch back and forth to the rom launcher and no noticeable effect on battery life. Gives me 5x5 icon matrix and a 5 icon customizable rosie.
