Root Smart Actions

Anyone figure out how to set the Smart Actions to turn off 3G/4G while SSID={whatever}
My office has terrible data connection issues but we have a set SSID for the entire institution. I just want the data off while onsite. GPS is not usable either

When I try to create a custom action, under ttrigger I select SSID={work} but under actions, data connection is greyed out.

I am rooted if that helps

I stand corrected - I figured it out. Now I have it checking to see if the work SSID is connected and if so disable mobile data and drop the volume levels. Nice!

You'd be surprised by how much power goes into "not using data" when you have a weak signal. I now lose only 10% power over a 10 workday vs I used lose 40%-60%.

I agree that turning off data helps a lot. I use the same idea in a slightly different way. I have a smart action that turns mobile data off when the screen turns off. I already have all my email notifications off anyway. I always have new email so it doesn't need to tell me lol. I get pretty awesome battery life with the stock battery.
