Smart Dock = Charger?

I assume since it has a port to plug in a power supply that it will function just fine as a daily charger? I plan to dock it, use it as a nightly alarm clock and charge the phone nightly.
What is the power of the power supply? 1a/2a?

Disregard, found the link and subsequent info on Samsung website. Charge at 2 amps while using it's other features.
