Help Smart Stay Option

I enabled the smart stay option. but no matter what the screen still locks down at the time it is set to auto lock.
How can i fix this... tired of reading something and the screen locks down :/

I gave up on it. Have a look at the app Gravity Screen from Playstore. It has many options and works well.
