Help Smartshare - anyone mess around with this feature??

So I was messing around with this smartshare trying to sync it to other devices and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to connect the phone to my PC and vice versa wirelessly. I know my PC is wireless and connects to my router and my xbox, so I'm searching for devices with the phone (refreshing every do often) and all of the sudden my g/f's laptop's windows media player pops on the list when she turns it on. So she's running windows 7 w/wmp12 I believe, and I'm running windows XP w/wmp11 on my PC, so I figure wmp12 will connect wirelessly but 11 won't for some reason. Does anyone know of an alt media/file player for PC I can sync to the LG Connect w/o having to install a whole new OS?

Your WM11 will share you're library through its media connect features. Just look for sharing in WMP. You may need to enable Plug n Play in Windows features I will check if I can today.

Yes please lemme know. If all I need is to tweet some settings to get it to work that'd be awesome. Although I thought I tried all the settings.. maybe not

In add/remove programs in the control panels in the left column there I'd an option to turn on windows features. You need to go in there and enable plug and play. Try that first.

I've used it with my Panasonic TV, it works great, for sreaming M4V, pictures, and playing music. I havent been able to get any other video format to work.

You have to make sure the file formats are supported by the Panasonic ,both the container and the encoding. Also only some media types are recognized by WMP for streaming although I believe v12 supports a wider range of formats than v11 in XP.
