Help smashed screen, contact retrieval

anipal

Lurker
Not just smashed, run over by my pickup truck. The phone charges, beeps, back and menu buttons light up, and I was able to retrieve all the music but what I really need is the contacts and some information from a couple locked apps. I needed another phone pronto so purchased as S3, as I use this for my business. I know it's my bad for not backing up but Kies was such a pain as the USB connection was never successful--I had to use Air. Since I can't use the touch screen anymore, no more Kies Air. have tried Dr.Fone and looking through the file folders on "My Computer".

Is there any way to forcibly suck the information from the phone or should I just keep rebuilding my contact list on the S3?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if this will work but here's 3 apps that should enable you to control your phone from your PC.

Remote Phone

Download to the phone from the Play store and (hopefully) away you go.

It's worth making all you contacts Google contacts on your new phone. That way they'll get downloaded to any new device and are accessible from anywhere.

Daft question, but it's worth a shot. Did you ever back up your contacts to your Google account ?
