sms all wiped out

I just bought a HTC Desire and found out a couple of issues.
1) There is no Skype
2) I lost my sms due to force shut down
Please enlighten me, anyone who has this experience.

1 - Skype is not yet available for android devices (iirc) but you can use the fring app to log into your skype account, if you need to use the skype functionality.

2 - when you say sms, do you mean the one you were writing, or all of them on your phone?

Well, when it forced shut down all my previous sms and the current would just be wiped out totally. The latest is I have trouble sending mms, this program also force shut.

yes, when i am writing the sms. It states an error with the android process.
