Root SMS Backups

So before I flashed a new rom I used the backup feature in the Pokemon messaging app.

When I flashed a new rom I couldn't find the messages from the previous rom.
Does anyone know where they would go?

Thanks so much,

So, all of the Sense Rom's have the backup messaging feature and I don't know where they go.

I looked on the SD card and internal with ES file explorer and couldn't find anything.

Oh well.

Yes with ICS and sense 4.0 you have that now.
Strange, I've restored my messages from Rom to Rom.

When in the new sense Rom go under the stock messages app. Hit menu, go to backup SMS, then hit restore SMS. It should find the file you saved. Then all you do is select that file, should restore the SMS messages. It dorsnt do the MMS ones tho. :(

I'm stock. I have my microSD installed and the stock Message application backups automatically go to the microSD card (SDcard2 or ext_sd in the file system).
It created a folder called 'sms_backup' for me.
I'm guessing when no microSD is present it defaults to internal storage (SDcard in the filesystem) and creates that same folder 'sms_backup'.

Who knows where the pokemon messaging application backs up to.

---Edit---
When no microSD is present you cannot create a back up. The phone states that no storage card is present and stops before the back up starts.

Thanks guys. I didn't realize that selecting backup would give me the option to restore from there.

I don't think it worked on the Pokemon rom when I did it though.

In the past I used SMS backup but like the option of a stockapp to do it.
