Help Sms bug!

Hello

For a couple of days, my Htc desire (2.2) is completely crashing, more specific my messages. I deleted them, but they just came back. I also deleted the data of the process 'messages'. But they are just coming back.
My CPU is always on 100% because of my messages, when i send a message, the message is send to the wrong person and when i open a conversation, android opens the wrong conversation.. (i automatically delete old messages, but apparently they don't get deleted..)

who can help me?

Hello All!

my SMS messenger app is hanging. I have a shortcut on my phone "desktop" when i click on it , it goes to the "all messages" screen. The entire screen is greyed out and the circular rotating downloading/starting symbol comes up. Before it only goes for less than two seconds. Now I have left my phone on (disabled screen shutdown) for 30 mins and no change. I have tried restarting it (real restart using top button and then shutown on screen) several times, but it still does the same thing. btw if I access messages from the phone book, or friend finder, I can still read and send SMS. It's just that particular screen of "all messages" Is there a way to restart just the messenger app? I don't want to factory reset my phone as I have added many apps which I use and spent alot of time configuring them. So I don't want to start from scratch again. I would really appreciate the help as SMS is mission critical for me. If I can't get it working by this afternoon, I may need to do a full reset

just to let you guys know, My workaround was to download GoSMS from app store. Very nice app. Works fine for now. But I hope this gets fixed soon!
