If you use chompsms or handcent you can change the colors. I recommend chomp.

totally off topic and I apologize - I thought Captivate was ATT only, what is the deal with "colour"? Are you a visiting foreigner?

I do not think you can change the colors of the bubbles unless you root and mess with the system, or unless you change a different texting software.

Hahaha. No need to apologize. However, I'm in the states. I've been living here for about 5 years. I just can't seem to break something that I've been using my whole life. What makes it worse is I'm in the south, so people hear me say 'about' and they're like "wow! Do all Yankees sound that way?! " silly people.
