SMS displaying on home screen

[MDKtm]

If I receive an SMS text message when I am away from my phone, most of the message can be read on my home screen by anybody near the phone. Is there anywhere in the settings to prevent this invasion of privacy happening?

set it to auto lock after a minute. or turn it upside down!

Even with auto-lock on the received text is written right under the slide-to-unlock control for all to read. Shouldn't really need to turn the phone upside down to keep my messages private... really.

I don't like it doing that either, but only because it ruins the surprise for when you open the text!
