Help SMS ISSUE...anyone else?

Recently, when I'm having an SMS conversation with someone, the time of the conversation is all screwed up. Let's say I send someone a text at 5pm...the person replies and the time on there message will be 5:04p. I reply back and it will be 5:01.

So this basically throws off the whole order of conversations. It doesnt happen every time, but its pretty annoying. Anyone else having this issue?? Anything I can do it fix it?

I've had that happen a few times. Updating my profile and a quick reboot usually fix it. That's if you're in Sprint coverage. If I'm roaming then it's always messed up. Usually either 4 or 6 hours off.

I've updated my profile and PRL and that didn't help. Should I take this issue to Sprint?

You could try, but I've seen a few other posts on the same issue and some people saying it's a network issue that can't be fixed. I can't find any of them at the minute to link to.

I really doubt they would be able to do anything. All a tech is going to do would be to reset, check profile/prl. I don't know how often it happens on your phone, but I would just let it be if that's the only thing giving you problems.

Are you rooted? I'm having the same issue. Earlier this evening I had 5 people text me with the exact time their phone said. 3 were correct, 1 off by 3 minutes and another by 4 minutes. No consistency with carriers or devices either.

It's hard for us to say what they can and can not accomplish ... not that my guess (and that is all it is at this point) is right but there are a number of phones having issues right now... all network related. I am even starting to wonder if the Pandora issue is related to this. There have been at least two that have taken their phone in and sprint "reprovisioned" the phone and it corrected the errors....

I also have been giving the response "network error" give it some time and it will fix itself... but there are a ton of phones having this issue after the 3.70 update and even more that are having data issues, and a few ore that are having call and text issues. I want to say that I see a pattern....but I really don't know for sure.

it's not a matter of "taking it back" per say. Sprint has repair centers that can fix your phone. It's a matter of them basically setting your phone up in their system all over again...a reset on the data side of things. Bu hey, If it's something you can live with... roll with it.
