Root SMS issues with CM9

Can you give us steps to be able to replicate the issue? If there is something in the ROM, it needs to be able to be reproduced to fix it. If so, it would be a ROM issue, if not I would suspect something else is the cause.

Like I said, not saying you don't know how to flash ROMs. The issue behind these sorts of things can be quite complex. Alogcats and steps to reproduce the issue are helpful to diagnose what's really going on behind the scenes.

1. Download and place rom + gapps files on your SD card
2. Remove everything from your SD card but the two files you just placed on it
3. Power down your device
4. Boot into CWM
5. Factory Reset x2
6. Wipe Cache x2
7. Wipe Dalvik Cache x2
8. Install Rom
9. Install gapps
10. Boot Rom
11. Reboot device

Dont see any reason to do Number 2 or anything twice. Also, factory reset wipes cache so no need for step 6 either.

You are using the .0.6.5 CM9 and the Gapps linked in the first post?
I assume you are adding your google account in there as well once you start?
Are you doing anything else? (no matter how small, sometimes the smallest steps make a difference in what happens).

No, I haven't flaged since 0.6.4 because of the issue. And yes, along with restoring my contacts and adding my other emails, other than that everything is left alone.

So you don't link your google account, but restore contacts some other way? And where are you adding your emails to (in what app)?

Also, I am going to move this part to a separate thread so it doesn't clog up the ROM thread. We can link back here later if anything is found out.

. I "upgraded" by clearing the cache/dalvik from older alpha's and upgrading to the new .65 then rebooting and installing the gapps without a full wipe. I had no issues otherwise so I didnt see this.

Now that I have installed everything fresh, the calendar syncs. Thanks everyone for your time and attention.

I said yes I add my google account along with all the other stuff I stated. I use gmail.

Sorry, I misread the use of flaged (you meant flashed...I am a moron) I thought you meant you didn't link the google account. WOW, big brain fart there. I will make a nandroid and back up some stuff that I don't want to lose and later on (probably quite a bit later, busy night sorry :() I will reflash and do it like you stated and see what happens.

Yeah, I guess my phone auto-corrected or I just mistyped something.

No need to waste your time backing up and flashing, thank you though. I was just giving a heads up to the user in the other thread, I'm not going to use the Rom at this state. I will flash the Rom at a later build like I planned, if the issues persists and anyone else still has the same issue I'll make it known to someone.
