Help SMS Issues

So I had an issue since I got the phone with the SMS client sending phantom messages to people. 3 users so far report getting blank messages from me, and indeed they show up in the stream.

So I downloaded Handcent and I like it better.

I turned off the notification for the native SMS client...is there any way to turn it off alltogether?

I have a profile changer. Will that changer change the Handcent or will it change the SMS client? Or will it just change the generic "notifications" settings and whatever program uses notifications unto itself will prevail?

you should be good, that default is a os specific deal, not profiles.

Blank SMS Sent Autonomously: The ADR6200 will send out a blank SMS message to an address that inadvertently had a blank SMS sent to it. The blank message will be sent whenever the device is powered off then on.
Short term work around: Customer will need to delete the blank message(s) in their Undelivered messages folder. The messages can be identified by a applications tab next to the message.
Planned Resolution: A fix for this issue will be included in a maintenance release of software for this device. The target date for the next release of software is December 2009.

if still not resolved, call vzw cust serv, they can apparently clear some log that MIGHT fix the issue

That's it!! Thanks so much! It was happening when I power cycled the phone. And I did have some random undelivered message that I couldn't clear. I will clear it all out now.
