Help SMS Limit

Hey Guys,

Just upgraded from the desire, this is pretty much a perfect iteration of a phone i have seen.

There is one thing that i really need to figure out. What is up with the SMS limit? I can write three sms messages before it converts to an MMS. On the desire, i could do 7 before it changed to an MMS.

Is this a Samsung thing or a rom thing? Can i change it? (can't seem to find an option).

Its the only thing that is really bugging me.

I don't use the stock Messaging on the SGSII but prefer Handcent, free, from the Market.

One of the myriad of settings in Handcent is under Send message settings and is entitled Auto-convert to MMS which allows you to convert SMS's of over 3 messages to MMS. Just leave this box unticked.

Thanks for the reply. So im guessing its just an app problem. If anyone does know of a hack/mod/etc for the stock sms app, that'd be great because i quite like the normal app.

Im rooted if that helps.

Isn't this a problem that everyone is facing?

I would assume that anyone writing a long sms, or intending to, would just put it into an email instead. Problem solved.
