On the Galaxy Note, does anyone know the relationship, if any, between
1. the message centre number that's entered in Messaging > Settings > Message Centre
and
2. the one that appears in the SMSC: field when the string *#*#4636#*# > Phone Information > Refresh is clicked?
My understanding was that the correct message centre number is embedded on the SIM card by the local telco and the Refresh button reads it and updates the SMSC field. Maybe that's wrong.
I was able to send sms with no number entered in the messaging app itself (1) but when I checked the SMSC field in the Phone Information (2), all I could see was "00" so I am a bit confused about how this works.
Don't know if anyone can throw any light on this.
