Help SMS messages have been deleted

Hey guys! Today my Droid just decided to completely delete my entire Inbox. This is the second time this has happened, the first time I thought it was due to Handcent but this time it happened with Handcent uninstalled.

Am I the only one this has happened to?

No it's not. I had over 1500 messages deleted instantly when i power cycled my droid. I don't know why this happened. I was also using Home++ at the time, gave up on that.
 
happened to me to its irritating.... has done it 3 times... my girlsfriends iphone has all our texts from when we first talked and I don't ;(
 
BG, I work up in Perrysburg Ohio atm.

And it hasn't done it to me since that first time, but I am using SMS backup to backup all my texts to my gmail account now.
 
mine did that, but in sms settings just uncheck delete old messages as limits are reached & it shouldn't anymore, if it does then idk its a tech problem i guessss
 
^ That actually makes sense - if it is marking 'old' based upon calendar dates, then it may *seem* random but in fact it is doing it on a set date....
 
its if you have the limit set, idk i set my limit for like a thousand, and I guess it was deleting it when I got a thousand total messages, not per conversation. now I have no limit & it hasn't happened since :)
