For some reasson i dont no why my text messeges have deleted there selfs but i am not sure why has anyone elce had this problem

is there anyway to get the text messeges back?
 
Quite a few people are reporting this problem at the moment and sadly no, there is no way to retrieve your missing messages unless you are running a back-up programme and can reinstate them from that.

I have a new HTC Desire. Use the "messages" frequently. Is there any way I can protect my messages using a password?
