Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me. I've switched over to MetroPcs for about three month. I like their 4g speed. But im having problems with SMS. I would either not receive any text for a few hours or just not get them at all. I started noticing this problem with maybe a month ago... and thought it would correct itself... but it has not. one example... was yesterday at 4:00 am in the morning i was flooded with about 30 texts...so my phone went off non stop for awhile... I was wondering if anyone has experience this problem too? Is it my phone (root lg esteem)? If it is... is it broken? Note... that i dont have any problem sending texts... that i know of.

I suggest you get used to it since it happens a lot on MetroPCS. 
Some people call it "running late." Its one of the things that I hate about Metro. It has nothing to do with your phone. Its common to a lot of people.

+1 mine has always done it with metro on every phone.. 3 I believe total.. And dupe messages..
jking. i dont get why this would happen tho. i have full bar everywhere I am. why would i not receive my texts?does anyone know if there is anything i can do to get my text to start coming in again. Im currently not getting any texts at all. I just sent myself some text and i had my friends text me and nothing is coming through. I tried restarting my phone, turning off and on airplane mode, nothing is working.

Do you turn off your data?
This happens to me occasionally, too. Not often enough to be an issue. Another annoying thing is one friend will send me book-length texts, they come in bits and pieces, and out of order, almost impossible to read. She blames my phone, but she's the only person it happens to/with.
same thing happens to me with one friend, and whilst bothersome, it can lead to some lulzy sitches!

are apps, like GOsms, etc... (that tell you if a msg wasn't sent) accurate?
& for the life of me, i cannot send a word mms, all is fine if a photo/vid is sent along, but IF only words, 160+, then it doesn't send, on stock msg OR GO,ffs
im sure this has been asked, discussed, but any help greatly appreciated!
am i missing,forgetting smth simple in settings?? everything appears in order, just doesn't make sense, to me, that i can send a vid/pic mms, but not one o just characters/words.
