Help sms notification

Have put my old Blackberry SD card into my Incredible S, but cannot access
my music so as to make a notification sound for sms

Typically, putting the sound files in a folder on the SDCard called "notifications" makes them selectable notification sounds. I wasn't able to pick them until I'd named the folder correctly.
