Help SMS Notifications

Hey everyone

I have an HTC Wildfire. I find it really annoying when I receive a text message and part of the text of the message appears in the notification bar and below the slider thing on the lock screen. Is there a way of turning this off? I would love for the little text message symbol and nothing else to appear in the notification bar.

Any help appreciated.

go into messages-menu-select setting you can then unticj the recieved notification (1st option) and that will remove it from the top of phone, not sure if that does both of what your asking or not but post back ya results

Go to Settings --> Privacy. There is an option there to disable this.
