Help SMS problem -- mixing different messages together

Hi everyone

I have a weird problem with my S2. It sometimes mixes my SMS messages together.

The start of the messages are fine, then the end of the text doesn't fit -- it's from a previous message I have already been sent.

On one occassion, i got a text. The start of the message made sense, the end of it was random. So I asked them to resend it. The start of the message was the same, but got a different random end to the message. Then on the third attempt I got the message as it was supposed to be.

Hopefully this makes sense, finding it a bit difficult to explain!

I have tried taking my message limit right down, thinking it was because my memory was full. And i know it's not the other person's phone as they recently just got a brand new Blackberry.

Any suggestions?! It's led to some strange and mislead texts!!
 
Is this with the in built SMS app? Or with handcent? As I use handcent SMS and it occasionally does this too! No idea why though I'm afraid!
 
I haven't installed an SMS app, just using the messaging that came with it.

I do have an app called 'Schedule Message' that I use, but I don't think it has anything to do with the problem.

I have this issue too occasionally.

I thought it was Handcent, but if its happening to the stock sms app then it must be a database issue as I'm prettys sure they both use the same db.
 
It may help to narrow things down a bit if you could all publish which country and carrier you are with and if you are using stock Android messaging or not.

My feeling is that this is a carrier issue.
