SMS - Reply and include recipients or groups

Hi there
I have been stuck with this problem since getting the Desire.
How can I include a extra recipients when replying to an SMS and not just the original sender?
At present I have to reply to the message, then go back into messaging, touch and hold the message then select forward - now I can send this message to other recipients or a group. Seems a roundabout way.
Anybody know the answer.

When typing in the name, once you select it just press the name field again, and it'll move the previous name to below it and allow you to type in a new name

Or alternatively you can click the little picture of a person on the right and select multiple contacts

Hi.
Yes thats fine for a new message but you dont get those options when replying to an SMS.
