Help SMS ringtone doesn't stop

I modified the SMS ringtone by putting a music clip.

Problem is when i get a SMS and open it/read it

the music clip doesn't stop!! it played the full song!

tried restarting and pressing every button i can with no luck.

Is there a way to fix this, or do i have to choose one of the default tones

You need to edit it to the length you require.

Get ringtone maker or similar app. Shouldn't the SMS ringtone be in a notifications folder? How do you select a music for notification without putting it in the notifications folder?

I tried it and it works:

- use Ringdroid (or any other application) to cut the part of the song u want...
- save it in "Notification"
- go to messages>settings>select ringtone and select the saved ringtone
