Help SMS Ringtone problem

No matter what ringtone I set for SMS. Everytime I receive a SMS the ringtone only plays for 1 second. anyone know how to change this.

Do you press the meny button in messages meny and choose notification or what??

I had that problem,(well not accually a problem) but only if the messaging program was "open" when reccived sms.
Try if its still the same after u closed the sms program.
Otherwise i reckomend you to try out perhaps handsent sms or some oter sms app.

You could try a third party app like Handcent SMS which allows you to set your own ringtone for SMS, be it from the standard Android ones on the phone or any music track you have on your phone.

You could also try an app such as Ringdroid which allows you to take a sample from a music track and then use this as a notification tone.

yes same here only lasts for one second, but if you choose one of there sms sounds they last for about 5 seconds

i'll second trying Handcent SMS app, it allows you to select music files for pretty much everything and its certainly the best SMS app i have used on Android.
