sms stopped working

dont know if any of you have had your sms just stop sending/receiving? ive been txting my girlfriend back and forth for like 15 minutes then nothing was going back and forth... ugh hope its the service and not the phone, i really dont want to go change it again

I havent come across that, have you tried powering down, see if that does anything?

yep tried everything even sms myself with a diff phone still nothing even pulled the battery nada..

I think it's a problem with the verizon network I'm having the same issues with random people in my address book and when I called the help desk they couldn't figure it out

Not necessarily. Take a look at Motorola Droid OTA Update Coming December 11th? | Android Phone Fans - specifically the very top of the 5th page (image).

It says

* Incorrect Message Delivery: Very intermittently, if a contact has the area code enclosed with parentheses, the destination number area code may be replaced by the sender's area code. This can also occur with 7 digit mobile numbers. Message delivery failures can occur.

So, check your contacts first.

yeah im having the same problem and i checked the number, the phone says the message sent but in actuality it didnt, i think the droid hates me

With Verizon if you have *82 infront of the phone number (this will un block number if blocked by defalt fronm verizon) the text will not go through.
