Help sms time stamps are not correct...

Bib

Newbie
im using handscent sms
and my timestamps are off by 3 hours.
they r 3 hours ahead then wut it really is.
this is only for the received text.
the send texts are the correct time.

is anyone else experiencing this?
i know with the leaked 2.2, people had the same problem
and was fixed with an update from handscent.

has anyone figured a solution to this?
this has only happened since yesterday when the official
2.2 froyo was released

I saw reports of people that did the upgrade getting this just like with the leaks. So it is a big flaw that moto or verizon should have caught.

i just cleared all my text threads in my sms.....
and the next text message i receive
the same result...
3 hours ahead...

I had this on every leak but in different ways each time. The last one the stock message app was fine but my launcherpro messages were 7 hours off.

I ran several versions of tranquility and am using the latest (2.3.5 I think). This last version gave me the Handcent SMS timestamp issue and I have never had it before. Hopefully handcent will fix this

Here's the problem. Look in the history. Its being reported as GMS instead of your time zone. The stock.message app reports the time correctly. The system does not.

This is certainly true for my DX. I noticed one more thing - the timestamp in the last SMS in handcent where all your threads are listed is correct, but once I open a particular SMS thread everything is offset 7 hours (I'm PST)

Doesn't seem to help with a fix, but does convince me that Handcent has to provide it.

Its offset in the stock app too. Its a bug in the phone software. Go to the moto forums. Its where I first saw the bug.
