Help Snapchat broke my camera

Whenever I run the snapchat app on my Samsung Captivate GLide, the camera will sometimes fail. Whenever I go to the camera app it will say "camera failed" and whenever I try to run snapchat it will freeze at the white ghost. I tried the trick where you stop the cached process, but that doesn't solve the problem.

The problem seems to be that snapchat fails to release the camera resources, even when both apps are supposedly freed from memory. Wtfsauce.

Samsung Captivate Glide
ICS 4.0.4 or something
newest snapchat version (actually I'm on beta now but doesn't change the problem")

you could try going in Settings/apps/Snapchat and clearing the cache or even uninstall reinstall may fix it

Tried that. Tried clearing the cache and stopping the cached process. Also tried re installing snapchat.
