Help SnesDroid Lagging

Any snes emulator lags to a point where games are unplayable unless I turn the sound off. The Galaxy S3 should have more than enough processing power to run both the graphics and he audio yet there is lag. I've tried clearing RAM and that doesn't seem to do anything. Any help?

I know nothing about emulators but have u tried playing with "developer options like "force GPU rendering" or the one above or whatever?
Id doubt you need to overclock to play snes games....

P.s, u should fill out your profile so people know what model/carrier/rom/location youre at..... makes it much easier for folk cleverer than me to help
